I am a boy aged
fifteen and I live at Kasisi Orphanage. I am brown by colour
and my hair is black. I am a tall ugly creature in some
people’s eyes. I am an orphan by both.
We are four in our family, three boys
one girl. The first born is a girl and the second is a boy.
I am the last born. Our family is a big one but most people
do not concentrate in others. I
go to a school in Matero, it is called George Central Basic
school. I am in a class of pupils who passed their exams.
They are two classes of grade eights.
I go to school in the morning and
those who did not do well come in the afternoon. It is a
class of pupils who had done well, so I have to work harder.
My best friends are Titus and Nelamo. They are good to me
and good looking.
To me I feel this is home because when
I came here I was so young. I started grade two in the year
2000.
When I came here I never knew how to
read, write and count. Mamusa gave us some books to read.
She also tried to find some teachers who could teach us. The
sisters love us so much that they do not want to loose any
of us. After school I want to be
a doctor. I want to help people who are dying every day.
With my help I will save people.
